Easter

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25-26
We had a nice Easter this year.

The bunny even made a stop at our house...

We colored eggs...

And enjoyed our treats and good food.

The weather was perfect and we were so happy to be able to spend the whole day outside!  The kids can never get enough of the egg hunts.  Or carrot cake.

No Greater Love

Grandma and Grandad took us to No Greater Love last night in preparation for Easter.

The kids and I getting ready to go
We had wonderful seats, right on the aisle, next to the orchestra.

It was a wonderful performance, as usual.  The kids especially enjoyed the camel.  And the donkey.  And the lambs.

Thank you Grandma and Grandad for a great night out!

A Good Hare Day

We had a breakthrough this year.  I am not sure if you remember what happened last year, but this is a huge step!

Easter Weekend

The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name. Luke 24:46-47
Our church had a program and egg hunt on Saturday for the kids.  The performance was a lot of fun and then we did the balloon release.  It was crazy winding out there, imagine that.
We didn't stay for the egg hunt, there were a lot of people and we had a couple of pretty hungry/tired kids.  So, we went to lunch then home to color eggs instead.
Then, Easter morning we got up, checked out our little loot from the bunny and got ready for church.
After church we headed to Ron's mom's house for a wonderful lunch and egg hunt with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Sydney, and Aunt Jen.  The kids had a blast.  Then it was nap time for all of us.  We had a very nice dinner at my mom's house to finish off the weekend.  Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandad, and Grandma Shirley made our Easter dinner/birthday dinner (for John) a great one.
After our hundredth egg hunt, we were able to relax and visit.  Thank you everyone for making our Easter so fabulous.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!!

Hippity Hoppity...

...Easter's on its way!

**Yes, both kids were too scared to sit beside the Easter Bunny, so Grandma had to be a buffer.

Easter Blessings

We had a wonderful Easter this year.  It was a whole weekend of festivities.  It started on Saturday when we went to Grandma Sheryl and Grandpa Pat's for an egg hunt and dinner.  The kids had a great time discovering "treasure" in each egg!
Thank you Grandma Sheryl, Grandpa Pat, and Aunt Jen for a fun time and yummy dinner!

On Sunday, we got up and went to church.  It was a great service and the kids did really well, they were in the service with us instead of in Sunday School. We were with Nana and Papa, so that helped too.  After church we went home to see if the Easter Bunny had come by our house.  We weren't disappointed.

He had also hid eggs in the back yard that were filled with money! :o)

Then we made a cake to take to dinner at Nana and Papa's.
After a delicious dinner with Nana, Papa, and Grandma Barbara, we had one more egg hunt!
In between church and madness, we were able to get a couple of nice photos.

We hope everyone had a blessed day!  We are so grateful for the reason that we celebrate today!
Let the resurrection joy lift us from loneliness and weakness and despair to strength and beauty and happiness.

Easter Eggs

It took us two evenings, but we finally got our Easter eggs done and ready for the big day!

We had so much fun letting our creative juices flow!  The kids are thrilled to both be going to preschool tomorrow for a special Easter party and egg hunt.  Hopefully we will be able to get a few photos!

April Fool's

I have a few things up my sleeve for today, but they will have to wait to be revealed until after I have successfully completed them :o)

We are ready for spring around here.  Also, the kids are really looking forward to Easter.
