Preparing for Thanksgiving, the kids did a couple fun projects in school today.  They also had a big feast in lieu of regular lunch time.

Lilian's hat reads, "I'm thankful for...brother, mom, and dad"  She told me, "I wish that there was four places to write what we are thankful for because I also wanted to say I am thankful for Jesus Christ."

Braison's hat reads..."I'm thankful for toys and dad and mom"  That's our Braison :)

They also made macaroni turkeys.  Now, it's no school for a whole week!  Yay!

Celebrating

Thanks to everyone who helped make Braison and Lilian's birthday so special.  We didn't have a party this year, instead opted to have the kids surrounded by family.  They sure are spoiled.

Lilian,
You are such a little ham!  You are so comfortable in any situation, it amazes everyone.  During the school day, you are a sweet, calm, responsive, happy girl; once you get home, your wild side comes out!  You are a crazy, fun, hyper, chatty, and hilarious.  You already have such a knack for telling jokes, you can make anyone laugh with your crazy jokes.  You are very smart, but prefer to be creative.  You are an observer of situations and don't like it when people are sad.  Dancing at any time is perfectly acceptable in your eyes.  You are quick to anger and quicker to forget that anger.  Watching you explore and enjoy the world around you, is the the most wonderful thing ever.  You make people want to slow down and smell the roses.  Cupcake, you are loved infinity times around the world.

Braison,
I wish I could put you into words.  You are the most pensive child and you retain so much of the information you are given.  You are off the charts as far as school goes, you kid, are smart beyond your years.  Your generosity is unmatched, you are more than willing to help anyone with anything they might need.  Sometimes you get a little carried away, whether it be emotionally or physically, but you are quick to recover or apologize (should you need to).  You aren't afraid to be vocal and you love to please people around you.  Watching you grow and learn continues to be the highlight of my life.  Pancake, you are loved beyond measure.

Spreading Good Cheer

There is no investment you can make which will pay you so well as the effort to scatter sunshine and good cheer.

We went to visit Great-Grandpa Bartosz and Great-Great-Grandma Barbara today.

First we snacked with Grandpa.  Thank you to the sweet nurse who brought everyone a snack :o)

Then when we got to Grandma's room and they were feeding her!  She almost bit Lilian's hand when she got too close to the strawberry shortcake on the plate.  Imagine that.  Ha!

We are happy to report that things are looking up for everyone!  Here's wishing everyone a happy recovery!
