A day to spread the love.

We made cupcakes and frosted sugar cookies for the kids to share at their class love party.

We also made Valentine's for everyone in their class...Lilian gave the mason jars and Braison gave the takeout boxes.  Everyone loved them.  Who doesn't love to get a jar full of sweets?!

And, we made these "boxes" for the kids to receive Valentine's from their friends.  When we got to school though, I was informed that they had already made bags to collect goodies in.  Oh well, maybe we can just save these for next year.

Valentine's Tea

The kids had a Valentine's tea party at school today with their teddy bears.  They were so excited to get dressed up for the occasion!  And, we, of course, took treats to all of their friends and made mailboxes to receive greetings from everyone.

Be Mine

We had a pretty low key Valentine's Day, just the way we like it.

We started out with heart shaped donuts.
For preschool we made Valentine's for all of the kids' friends.  These are the ones that Braison took:

We also made cupcakes for everyone.

And, I was spoiled by Ron and the kids with a wonderful new necklace!

We had a nice quiet dinner at home and then went out for ice cream afterwards.  We had taken the kids to Build-A-Bear last weekend, I will post photos tomorrow for the wordless Wednesday :o)

St. Valentine's Day

Valentine's started last week when I got flowers & a balloon at my work.

Then, we started off today with lots of love and kisses :o)

We had a good Valentine's Day this year.  Yesterday, we made cards for all of the grandparents and delivered them.  We also made Lilian a special shirt, which she loved.
When I got in my car to head to work today, this was hanging off of my rearview mirror.

Ron surprised me with this beautiful necklace! I love it!
When Ron and I got home from work, the kids had made us special crafts.

Then we decided to have breakfast for dinner, so we had pink heart shaped pancakes with strawberries, eggs, and bacon.

*Sorry, it is sideways, I don't know how to rotate it.
Then, we finished the evening with homemade strawberry shortcake. Yummy!!

All in all, our day was filled with love and happy surprises.  We hope everyone else had a blessed day as well!
