Walk-A-Thon

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored Lilian in her school's walk-a-thon!  She had a blast running the track in the rain.  Wearing her galoshes.

Visitors

Uncle Kenny and Aunt Pam have been in town visiting from California this week.  We have had a lot of fun with them.
First there was trampoline time...

Then a visit to the zoo...

They have jelly fish at the zoo now

Braison was working on his photography skills

Notice the butterfly on his shoulder
Butterfly in the hair

Lazy lions
Poor Lilian wanted a butterfly to land on her so bad.  She stood as still as she could, but to no avail. Hopefully next time.
I didn't get any photos of the water gun fight...I was too busy being soaked by a couple five year olds, a three year old, and a grown man who believes he is still ten.
We got some great photos of the group.

Thanks for all the fun these past few days Uncle Kenny and Aunt Pam!  We can't wait until we get to see you again!

Circus Circus

The kids are perfect age for the circus.  They understand the clowns jokes and pay attention to everything that is going on. Although the price of the circus is atrocious, in the end, the smiles are worth it.

I asked the kids what their favorite part of the circus was.  Lilian liked the trapeze artists...

Braison's favorite part was when the elephant relieved his bladder...

Are you kidding?!  This blog is rated "G"...I wouldn't subject our loyal readers (all 2 of you) to that! Must be a boy thing, that is all I can figure out.
And, apparently the circus now includes freestyle motocross.  Both the kids enjoyed that part.

Next year, we are going to the local track and just watching the motorcycles.  Much more cost effective.

Girl's Night Out

My cousin, Kaitlyn, and I were able to have a girl's night out at the Carrie Underwood concert last night.  We had a blast and the concert was wonderful!  Thanks for inviting me Kait!!

A Weekend Away

Braison and Lilian spent a long weekend with their Grandpa and Grandma Sue.  On Friday they went to the movies and finally saw Cars 2.  The kids were in heaven, they went to the theater where you eat your dinner while watching the movie :o)
Then, on Saturday they headed out to Horseshoe Bend to catch the train to a pumpkin patch in Banks.  They had an absolute blast!  They got lunch on the train and did all kinds of fun stuff...

On their way back, they also stopped in Emmett to attend the Renaissance Fair

Everyone was tired by the time they got back home!
The kids were on a major high after the weekend...thank you Grandpa and Grandma Sue for all that you do!  The kids always have a blast when they spend time with you!

Boise Roadster Show and Pleasant Surprises

Today we went to the Roadster Show.  The kids were particularly excited to go because Spiderman was going to be there.  Braison just wanted to see him and Lilian wanted to get her photo taken with him.  We got there early and were looking at all of the nice cars.  At one point Lilian said to me, "This is amazing! The cars are so pretty!"  She is quite the character.  Of course, the car that they liked the best was, what else....a Toyota Land Cruiser!
We FINALLY heard over the loud speaker that Spiderman was making his way into the building.  Only problem was, there was a line about a mile long to talk to him or get your photo with him!  So, we only looked on from a distance, which Braison was perfectly happy with :o)
Then, tonight, I got a nice little surprise from my boys....

Movie Day

Today was cold and rainy/snowy.  And, Braison had spent last night with my dad, who informed me that he was coughing and had a runny nose.  So, we decided that church was probably not a good idea.  But, when we picked him up, he was doing ok.  When asked if they wanted to go to the movie theater, the kids got really excited.  As Braison would say, "Let's go to the movie video to watch a show!"
There were only two G rated movies playing at the theater: Gnomeo and Juliet or Justin Beiber: Never Say Never. That was a no brainer.
We, by some crazy phenomenon, wound up at the theater about an hour early.  So, we spent some time playing games first.

*All I had was my phone, sorry for the poor quality.

The movie was great, the snacks were outrageously expensive.  We all really enjoyed the movie, it made everyone of us laugh out loud at one point or another.  We would definitely recommend this movie!

Snow Day

We got a foot or so of snow last night and when the kids got up this morning they were extatic!! They were so excited, in fact, that they wanted to go out and play even before having breakfast.  So, while I shoveled the drive (again) they played in the back yard.

They were not pleased to have to come inside for breakfast, but I fixed that by promising hot chocolate to go with it :o)

What a wonderful day of snow angels, snow balls, sledding, and shoveling!  Now, it can go away anytime! :o)
